Hosted by Marianne Habager
Here is a great time to experiment with that new Dutch oven recipe, taste the recipes of others or learn more about the process.
Marianne will have a few Dutch ovens to loan. Call her to make arrangements (number below)
Friday afternoon, Dutch oven cooks will meet at the tree area across from registration to experiment, cook, learn, and swap Dutch oven tales!
What to bring:
* Recipe ingredients (Hint: chop/cut ingredients before you leave home and store them in zip lock bags. Saves time & clean-up)
* Seasoned Dutch oven
* Cooking equipment (spatulas, spoon, tongs, etc)
* Large aluminum foil type pan to put under your oven to hold the charcoal. The Parks don't allow "ground” fires.
* Plates & utensls for sampling
* Comfort items (chair, ice chest, etc) for setting and visiting.
Charcoal will be furnished. A few Dutch ovens will be available to borrow. There will be someone keeping a supply of lit charcoal.
Your start time will depend on the cooking time of your recipe. Time your dish to be done for taste testing.
Taste testing for participants will start at 5 p.m.
PLEEZE DO NOT PLACE HOT PANS OR DUTCH OVENS ON PLASTIC TABLES. WE BURN ‘EM, WE
BUY ‘EM.
